ibu..
Ini adalah kisah pahit yang muncul dari tragedi gempa bumi Sichuan. Ketika rumah roboh pada seorang ibu dan bayinya yang berumur 3-4 bulan, bayi dilindungi ibu dengan tubuh miliknya berlutut sujud di atas bayi. Ketika penolong tiba 5 hari kemudian, pada 17 Mei, mereka menemukan sang ibu telah hancur mati, tetapi bahwa bayi itu tidur nyenyak - hidup. Tak lama kemudian mereka menemukan ponsel sang ibu, tempat ia menulis pesan teks untuk bayinya yang membaca
"Bayiku sayang, jika Anda dapat bertahan hidup, selalu ingat bahwa aku mencintaimu."
Aku terfikir sejenak, seorang ibu di China sanggup mengorbankan diri untuk melindungi bayi dari kandungannya sendiri untuk melihat bayi nya terus hidup. Tapi mengapa di negara kita, bayi dibunuh dan dibuang dengan tanpa rasa bersalah dan kasihan sedikitpun demi kepentingan diri sendiri. Fikirlah sejenak.

PART 4: Edward’s mind versus Jacob’s body, or, Twilight as a Colonial Text

Twilight can be read as upholding traditional ideas of mind versus body and culture versus nature. Edward (and the Cullens) are associated with the mind/culture, while Jacob, the Quileute, the wolves, and other raced characters are associated with body/nature.
Edward has various graduate degrees, is well-spoken and well-read, and is distanced from his ice-cold body. As a mind reader, he lives not only through his own mind, but by reading the thoughts of others. Jacob, in contrast, is grounded in corporeality – his bodily size, color, and temperature are constantly focused on in the books. Further, as a werewolf, Jacob and other Quileute characters are associated with the unruly body.
Their bodies run hot and their physical anger cannot be contained. More generally, the werewolves’ lack of clothing emphasizes their status as bodies.
The sexualization of the wolf body further highlights the body/mind binary the series enacts. Echoing traditional representations of colonized peoples Jacob (and the other wolves) are perpetually in a state of undress. This, too, is in keeping with historical representations. As Peter van Lent argues in “Her Beautiful Savage,” sexuality pervaded captivity narratives with native men framed as dangerous, yet desirable.
Analyzing the popularity of “Indian Romances,” van Lent suggests that turning the native male into a romantic hero renders his supposed violence sexy and ameliorates the history of colonization. “Loving him,” van Lent writes, “a minority and a victim of much we regret—makes American dominant culture feel less guilty.”
Taylor Lautner and his packing on of 30 pounds of muscle in the space of one month might be read in this context. Moreover, the fact he is only “playing native” underscores the fact that real life indigenous males cannot live up to their media representations – instead, as Lautner’s casting portends, non-natives are “better” at being native than real natives1
Taken together, these representations in Twilight communicate to readers rather disturbing messages about race. In particular, Jacob’s character perpetuates the dominant racial ideology which constructs the indigenous as “Other.”
Jacob, as a stereotypical “good Indian” tells Bella his cultural “legends” but does not place much stock in them, characterizing Quileutes as overly superstitious. Before his turn to wolf, he is very critical of the “La Push gang,” calling it a cult and mocking the fact they are “all about our land and tribe pride.” Referring to what is happening as “like a bad western”, Jacob has adopted a white, Westernized view of his culture and heritage.
When he asks Bella, “So do you think we’re a bunch of superstitious natives, or what?” with “a hint of worry” in his voice, he emphasizes his own fear that this is indeed the case. His westernized view, or colonial viewpoint, results in negative views of himself and other tribe members. His turn to wolf is redolent of forced colonization – a turn caused, significantly, by the presence of the white Cullen vampires.
And, while Jacob is especially reluctant to serve his wolf-mates and follow Sam’s orders, he, in keeping with the colonial viewpoint the text enacts, he seems happy to be at the beck and call of the white girl he has fallen in love with, reminding Bella, “I offered eternal servitude, remember, I’m your slave for life”
We might also read Jacob’s forced turn to wolf in relation to white conquest – he does not want to fight, to be an animal, but the Cullen intrusion forces him to do so. Yet, rather than a justified warrior hero, he is presented as “a monster who might hurt somebody.”
Compared to the high-culture Edward who, fittingly looks like a classically beautiful statue, Jacob is childlike, irrational, temperamental, impulsive, and beastly. Edward is a white vampire god – Jacob, in contrast, is a lowly teen wolf, with “russet-colored” skin and anger management problems. He is framed as the real and more dangerous monster, just as men of color are framed as a danger to society, to their families, to themselves. Post-racial society my ass. More like “Twilight society” where white guys are the heroes, males of color are violent cads, white girls are desired booty, and women of color are victims. But it’s “just fiction” and “only entertainment” – kind of like the Western movies that gave us the enduring image of indigenous men as monstrous.

The star power at the upcoming American Music Awards just got kicked up a notch — or 20. In addition to the previously announced performance from Christina Aguilera, the November 21 show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles will feature the debut AMA appearances from three of music’s hottest young stars.
Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Ke$ha will all perform at the show alongside a roster of veteran acts including Bon Jovi, Pink and Usher. Fittingly, all three newbies are also nominated for Artist of the Year, a category that features heavy-hitters Eminem and Lady Gaga as well. Em and Lady Antebellum lead all nominees with five apiece.
“As a small-town kid from Canada, I never imagined that I would be nominated for AMAs, let alone be performing on the show,” Bieber said, according to The Associated Press, which added that the 16-year-old professed to feel “extremely humbled and honored” by the invitation to play the show.
More presenters and performers will be announced in coming weeks.

We are happy to see each of them make their own AMA history,” AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement announcing the additions. Yakin deh Lady Gaga pasti tertarik dengan karya Ted Sabarese yang satu ini. Biarpun dia bukan fashion desainer, Ted menciptakan food fashion buat portofolio-nya. Dengan judul Hunger Pains, Ted menggunakan bahan makanan asli untuk outfit modelnya. Dari mulai pasta, roti dan waffle. Katanya nih butuh 15 orang untuk menyelesaikan masing-masing kostum makanan. Tapi untungnya Ted mendapatkan bantuan dari Daniel Feld dan Wesley Nault yang pernah mengikuti Project Runway. Dari hasil karyanya, Ted mendapatkan banyak award di bidang periklanan. The angel answered and was amazed, "Only two hands? impossible! Lord replied," Do not you know, she's also able to heal herself and can work 18 hours a day. "
The angel approached and observed the woman and asked, "Lord, why did she look so tired and frail as if too much weight for her?" The Lord replied, "That's not what you imagine, it was a tear." "What for?" , asked the angel.
The Lord continued, "Tears are one way of expressing her joy, turmoil, love, loneliness, sorrow, and pride, and this woman has a fascinating power of men, this is just some of the capabilities of the woman. she can cope with more weight than men man, she was able to keep happiness and their own opinions, she was able to smile when her heart screamed, able to sing while crying, crying when touched, even laughed when frightened. she sacrificed for the sake of his loved ones, she was able to stand up against injustice, he wept when she saw his son is a winner, she delighted his friends laughed and cheered as the happy, she was so happy to hear the sound of birth. she was so sad to hear news of illness and death, but he was able to overcome them. she knows that a kiss and hug to heal wounds.

BARGEB muah muah :*
aku diterima di SMPN 51 tahun 2008, pertamakali aku masuk 51, aku menempati gugus 8. Saat dibagikan kelas, aku masuk kelas 7d, aku seorang anak yang pemalu saking pemalunya aku hampi tidak pernah tersenyum kepada orang orang sehingga aku dibilang “si Jutek” oleh teman teman. Ternyata itu bukan kelas tetapku melainkan hanya kelas sementara. Ternyata, di smpn 51 mengadakan RSSN (RintisanSekolahStandarNasional”, aku mengikuti test tersebut, dan ternyata aku memasuki kelas yang paling baik, yaitu kelas 7a.Kehidupanku berubah, kelas baru, teman baru, suasana baru. Aku sekelas dengan sahabatku, Venna Syifaa, tapi dulu dia bukan sahabatku, melainkan musuhku. Aku dan teman-temanku membuat grup IPS yang dinamakan “BILADELA” (Nabila Ula Desya Bela).

Saat itu, ekskul pramuka mewajibkan kita untuk mengikuti lomba PBB antar grup. Aku termasuk kedalam grup Venna, anggotanya kalau tidak salah: aku, ula, desya, bela, venna, rifa, rifanny, iis,cindy, kenny. Kami tidak hanya membicarakan tentang PBB, tapi kami membicarakan tentang membuat suatu grup yg positif yg bisa menggabungkan kami semua. Kebetulan, saat itu sedang musim “geboy-geboyan” . dengan spontan Venna bilang “yaudaah, barudak geboy ajaa”. Sebenarnya aku gak setuju saat itu, hahaha, ya tapi mau gimana lagi. Tapi saat itu bargeb belum terbentuk. Semenjak hari itu, kami jadi sering main bersama. Markas besar kami adalah rumah Cindy, karna kami sering main bersama, terbentuklah Bargebb 05-06-09.
Makin lama, makin kami terkenal, makin banyak yang mengenal kami namun makin banyak yang tidak menyukai kami, ya udah terkenal gini sih risikonya. Hahaha. Pada saat naik kelas 8, bargeb bertambah 4 orang, Miftah, Elza, Rofifah, dan Hana. Kemudian bertambah lagi, Urfah, Yunita, dan Cintia. Bulan Mei, 2010, aku keluar bargeb, ada satu masalah yang benarbenar susah disebutkan. Namun, Agustus, aku kembali masuk bargeb. Pada saat itupun bargeb kembali bertambah, Icha, Laras, dan Yuyun. Tapi sebelum Urfah, Yunita, dan Cintia masuk, Cindy keluar. Makin lama makin banyak yang keluar bargeb, iis, cintia, urfah dan kenny, mereka keluar. Tanpa diduga, Rifa pindah, sangat mengejutkann kami. Sangat sedih perasaan kami. Kembali berkurang, bargeb yang seharusnya sekarang ada 20 orang seekarang tertinggal hanya 14 orang.
Satu hati satu jiwa, itu prinisip kami.
Susah senang sedih bersama kami lalui.
Janganlah anda seseorang yang tak pernah mengenal kami mau berniat membubarkan kami, karna seberapa kuat pun usaha anda, tak akan pernah kuat untuk melawan dan menghancurkan komunitas persahabatam kami.
